Fashion Friday

To our Fugalista Lifers~
Introducing our additional weekly segment called Fashion Friday. Check back here every Friday for tips on looking and feeling fabulous while not breaking the bank! We give you experienced style insight (like everyone, we've had our terrific shopping moments and terrible shopping moments... we will share everything!) and we offer plentiful advice on how to shop, reconstruct and wear clothing, accessories, shoes, beauty - everything in regards to fashion!
Thanks for joining us for Fashion Friday.... today's tip:

Nothing wrong with being thrifty!
OK, we do suggest that you stay away from the sequent shoulder-padded thigh length dress you found collecting dust in the back of your local thrift store- even if it's only $1. Soon enough, you'll have a closet filled with 50 questionable "dollar-finds," and you'll then realize what you could have purchased that would be a excellent condition and in season (a new bag and pair of shoes at Target, perhaps?). However, what we strongly add is that you can find stylish, gently used clothing for a fraction of department store prices at various second hand shops your grandmother didn't sell to (we love you, Grammy). Here are a few of our favorites: Plato's Closet, Buffalo Exchange, Once Upon A Child, and of course, DIY. There are plenty of online stores, such as Deja Vu Vintage on Etsy, Snow Jane Vintage, Neon Life Vintage & Art House Vintage (...we like vintage). Have fun, and don't hesitate to ask us anything! Your fashionistas are here to help ;)
