Designers for Less on Fashion Friday!

Welcome to the Frugalista Life's Fashion Friday! This week, we will be exploring the fabulous trend of couture designers working with mass-market stores like Target and Kmart!

Jean Paul Gaultier (yes, THE Jean Paul Gaultier) is designing a line for Target that hits stores March 7th! This line is inspired by American Pop Culture so look for alot of texture and embellishments with this line.

Also designing for Target, Liberty of London! This British Brand Brings it's signature floral prints to an affordable market! Look out! Liberty of London hits store March 14th with items starting at $12.99!

French Designer, Sonia Rykiel hits H&M with her signature knit-wear with a Parisian flair. Her designs are in stores now and start at $5.95! All are super-feminine and superflattering!

Jen Groover and her Bulter Bags be $400 no more! Ms. Groover recently began designing a line of her Butler organizing bags for KMART which are in stores now and begin at a mere $29.99!

This trend of high-designers working with stores such as Target and H&M is hopefully one that will continue as we at Frugalista Life LOVE the styles and prices. Next time you're out and about looking for some couture- why not stop by Target for some originial Jean Paul Gaulteir??? ;)

  10. I've noticed this trend in other stores and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I think it's great to get clothes designed by A-listers cheap but what about the underdogs? Getting a line in Target would be a big accomplishment for them.

Okay, I'm going to contradict myself because I'll be looking at the high designer clothes once I lose a little more weight.

  11. Where can a petite person find good cheap clothing like this? Target doesn't exactly cater to us! If I want clothes that fit well for my 5ft frame, I have to spend a decent amount of money.

    Help Frugalista!
